Good Afternoon, Pirate Families,
Thank you to everyone who showed support for Ms. Williams (principal at Maiden Middle) and her family last week on our Pink Out Day. The RBMS community demonstrated how much we care by wearing pink, raising money during our 50/50 at the football game, and by parents donating funds and items to the family. The Williams family is greatly appreciative.
Another way the RBMS community can show the love to others is by participating in the Castle of Cans Food Drive. Between now and October 9, students may donate non-perishable food items to this great cause. Any student who donates will be entered into a drawing to turn Mr. Byrd into a "human sundae" (Mr. Byrd is not sure what that means, but if it means RBMS can help out others, he's up to it).
Here are some reminders for the coming days:

Monday, September 21--8th Grade will have Council on Adolescents during science this week. Cross Country will run at Henry Fork River Park (4:15, boys first).

Tuesday, September 22--Students will get to take part in a presentation from former NCAA All-American football player Josh Perez in the morning. Soccer / Volleyball @ Mill Creek (4pm).

Wednesday, September 23--Football will have a HOME game vs. Arndt Middle (4:15 at Bunker Hill). Students must have their name badges to attend. Admission $5.00.

Thursday, September 24--Parents to check Infinite Campus for student progress (contact school if having access issues). Soccer / Volleyball @ Northview (4:00)
We are grateful to all of you for allowing us to be part of your children's formative years. RBMS is moving forward, and our students are really working hard to get to grade level proficiency and career/college readiness. By working together, we will maintain this level of success and get our kids where they need to go to have the tools they need as adults in the workforce. Thank you, parents/guardians, for all you do to support us in this endeavor by getting your kids here every day, talking to them about their future plans, and ensuring that they understand the value of a solid education, which they definitely receive from their Pirate teachers.
