Good Afternoon, Pirate Families,
We'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who was able to join us for Jump Start last week and to all the staff members who made that happen. We're going to set the bar high for our kids this year and getting them in the building and learning about those expectations is a great way to start the year.
Here are some reminders for the coming days:

Wednesday, August 19--Open House for all RBMS students. Stop by and get your student's schedule, explore the building, and meet our awesome staff. 4:30pm-6:30pm (floating). Schedule pickup will be in the media center and bus information will be in the cafeteria.

Saturday, August 22--3rd Annual CCS Education Foundation Football Jamboree. Come out to L-R to watch the Pirate football team scrimmage. First round is at 4:00, and the second will start at 4:50. Admission is $5.00. There will also be a 50/50 Raffle. Here is the link for those interested in the RAFFLE.

Monday, August 24--First day of school. The doors open for car riders at 7:10 and classes start at 7:30. It's going to be a great day. Bus riders will be dismissed at 2:25 and car riders at 2:27.
As we get close to the start of the year, we'd like to keep everyone on the same page with our expectations as they relate to behaviors and attendance.
The number one indicator of student academic success is good attendance, and our kids did a great job with that last year. We want to avoid students ever having to miss instructional time do to issues like cellphones or dress code, so please review these links with your child so we can all be aware and ready to go:

We're looking forward to an awesome year, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to partner with you to make sure your child is heading towards getting prepared for high school, graduating, and what lies beyond in terms of career and college readiness.
