Good Afternoon, Pirate Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!
We are not quite to the full start, which will be on Monday, August 24, but we're opening up the sails and getting ready to ship out into another successful year at River Bend Middle School.
Each week (Sundays at 4:30pm), we will send reminders and information to our students' families about what is going on at RBMS on Parent Square. We encourage everyone to read this information and to discuss with with your RBMS student. We want everyone to be as informed as possible so we can keep the main thing the main thing: preparing our kids for high school, graduation, and whatever lies beyond for them whether it is college, the military, trade school, or jumping straight into the workforce.
As we get closer to the start date, we will send out some other specific details regarding the school year, but for now, here is information for some upcoming events:

Thursday, August 13--Jump Start for 7th Grade. This event is very important for our seventh graders to become acclimated to RBMS and the expectations they will face in a new school. The event runs from 11am-2pm. Lunch will be provided, but students will have to have their own transportation.

Wednesday, August 19--Open House for all RBMS students. Stop by and get your student's schedule, explore the building, and meet our awesome staff. 4:30pm-6:30pm (floating). Schedule pickup will be in the media center and bus information will be in the cafeteria.

Saturday, August 22--3rd Annual CCS Education Foundation Football Jamboree. Come out to L-R to watch the Pirate football team scrimmage. First round is at 4:00, and the second will start at 4:50. Admission is $5.00.

Monday, August 24--First day of school. the doors open for car riders at 7:10 and classes start at 7:30. It's going to be a great day. Bus riders will be dismissed at 2:25 and car riders at 2:27.
The staff at RBMS has been very blessed with excellent support from our students' families the last couple of years, and we are looking forward to continuing that partnership with this community to get our kids headed to the best futures possible.
